I think you can tell by the photos that I have some serious work ahead of me. So much in fact, that I wonder it will ever happen. I play all of the elf armies in Fantasy and 40k but I have been slowly collecting these Space Marines for quite some time now. I pick them up off friends that lose interest or I swap with people over the web. I have snagged a few of the late night bargain auctions, and a good friend that moved away donated some. I have planned to make them Blood Angels from the get go, as it is really fluff wise the only chapter that sounded interesting. Regular Space Marines just do not offer a seriously interesting play style, and playing games with two of the same armies are just boring. I hate playing Eldar vs. Eldar; I cannot imagine Space Marine vs. Space Marine being any better. Moreover, everyone plays Marines.
I could never tear myself away long enough from Eldar to play Blood Angels, but with the new codex around the corner and all the hype, I figure it is long overdue to give these some of the painting love. I have this feeling that after a handful of games I will end up shelving this army and go back to my Eldar anyway, but here I will commit to a serious attempt. I sort of do my own thing when it comes to list building anyway, finding that obscure story that explains my configurations. My play style will always be finesse so let us see what we can do with all of this.
I have a few more boxes to go through and I think I may have two more Dreadnoughts and another Predator or two but here is what I found today. Most of the plastic crappy gold painted models I will make into Death Company, I tried Simple Greening them when I first picked them up but it just ruined some of the models. None of the mold lines are clean either, keep in mind I have not assembled, painted, or primed a single model in this entire collection.

Those are some fugly third edition models. With the newer Terminators I have plus the Space Hulk ones the rest will prob never come out of the box.
